[Asia Big News Nguyễn Văn Hanh journalist] Do My Linh, 20, a student from Hanoi Foreign Trade University, was named Miss Vietnam 2016 at the finale in Ho Chi Minh city in the night of August 28th.
Thirty beauties across Vietnam showcased their outer and inner beauty in the final night of Miss Vietnam 2016, held at Phu Tho Sports Hall in District 11.
Miss Vietnam is a biennial beauty pageant initiated in 1988 by Tien Phong (Vanguard) newspaper to improve young women’s role in national development while dignifying the country’s cultural potential, tradition and history, as well as promoting its image and people to international peers during the integration process.
After an intense four-hour long grand finale, the pageant’s highest title and US$98,000 pearl-and-sapphire crown were awarded to Hanoi-born Do My Linh, a 20-year-old undergraduate at Foreign Trade University.
Linh also took home VND500 million ($22,435) in prize money, while the first and second runners-up Ngo Thanh Thanh Tu and Huynh Thi Thuy Dung received VND300 million ($13,461) and VND200 million ($8,974) respectively.

29명의 후보자 중에서 뽑힌 도미링 양은 진주 63알과 3260개의 사파이어를 곁들인 호화로운 왕관과 상금 22,400달러를 받았다.
